Client: Home owners // Situated in the Oakland hills, this residence has perhaps one beam left in it from its original structure. It was renovated entirely from the ground up by some the best builders and craftspeople in the SF Bay Area. The purpose of these images was to document the many faces that were there day to day, making it happen.
Self Promotion // LoBot Gallery is a 10,000 sqft contemporary arts space founded in 2003 to host emerging artists alongside established artists within visual art exhibitions, music, dance and performance events, video and film screenings, as well as to provide a space for the incubation, production and implementation of ideas and cultural events. Shown is a selection of Polaroid portraits that were taken during one of LoBot’s benefit shows. As guests traveled through the space, they could opt to have their portrait taken, processed, and displayed within minutes. As a result of the event, many of the subjects are also local artists who had work in the show. This portrait series is an ongoing project. Please be in touch to see more of it, or to schedule it for an event!
Client: Bride and Groom // Shown is a selection of Polaroid portraits that were taken during the wedding reception. Once guests were finished with dinner, they could opt to have their portrait taken, processed, and displayed within minutes. A Quaker wedding is a unique experience, and I encourage anyone to attend if they have the opportunity. This portrait series is an ongoing project. Please be in touch to see more of it, or to schedule a date to have it happen at an event!

Just returned home after two months on the road with the NEA, where we helped students in five states (OK, IL, AZ, UT & AK) make movies, while creating a short piece about the ATE nominee in each state. The final profile pieces will screen at the NEA’s annual awards gala in DC, February, 2010. See Salt Lake City’s channel 5 report here.
